Hi, my name is Brooke. I am excited to join the Puzzle Place Center for Autism to work with a dedicated and passionate team of professionals toward helping ou students thrive. At the age of 19, I provided in-home and community based support to children and adults with developmental and cognitive impairments. This experience helped carve the path that would eventually lead me to my career as a BCBA and Educator. After earning my Bachelors in Psychology from Cuny Brooklyn College, I pursued a Masters in Childhood Special Education from Daemen College. While enrolled in graduate school, I started my career as a classroom special education teacher in New York City. I currently have 8 years of classroom teaching experience within various classroom settings such as self-contained, inclusion, and resource classrooms across multiple grades from upper elementary through high school. During my first year in a full-time classroom teaching position, I earned an Advanced Certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis from Cuny Queens College. I have been immersed in the field of ABA for 8 years, with 13 years of experience working with children with Autism within community, home, and school settings. As a BCBA, NY-LBA, and NY and NJ Certified Teacher of Students with Disabilities, I look forward to helping children achieve their full potential and setting them up for success across all areas in life.
